The new logo is called “The Golden Star”, which symbolizes the light or source of light in the universe. The Golden Star signifies that Bandar Lampung University, as a higher education institution, will always be the best, the highest, and at the forefront in providing solutions to social issues. This is in line with UBL's vision announced on its 23rd anniversary in 2007, which is “To Become the Leading Higher Education Institution in Community Solutions.”

2. Three Bracelets (which connect two plant stems):
This symbolizes UBL's commitment to providing three types of solutions for the community, namely
a. Solutions in education and teaching,
b. Solutions in research for the development of science and technology,
c. Solutions in community service.

3. Five-pointed Gold Star:
Connotes a light or source of light in the universe, something that is the best, highest, most famous, foremost, superior, and also depicts the five cultures of UBL, namely Morals and Ethics, Entrepreneurship, Quality Global Orientation, and Learning and Knowledge Sharing.

Symbolizing the prosperity of the Lampung community.

5. UBL lettering (slanted to the right):
Depicting the dynamics of an organization that continues to move forward, the black and silver colors represent UBL as a futuristic and technology-oriented campus.
